My Story
I know what it feels like to be successful at a life you're not sure you actually chose.
I climbed quickly in education — faster than most — and by every external measure, things were going well. But I knew I had more. I wanted a bigger career, more agency, more world. I wanted to call the shots. And I had no idea how to get there.
What I did know was transformation. LA had already changed me once — profoundly. I came out, became a teacher, and built the first real version of myself from the ground up. I knew what it felt like to let go of who you were and become someone you hadn't met yet.
So I took a chance. I enrolled in a global MBA program, left behind a city and a life and people I deeply loved, and moved to Spain — with no certainty about what was on the other side.
What happened there surprised me. I didn't just build a new career. I reclaimed a whole part of myself I'd left dormant my entire life. My mother is Cuban, and somewhere along the way, that had become a footnote. In Spain, I learned Spanish. I found my picante. I became whole in a way I hadn't expected.
That leap led to consulting, coaching, New York, my own business, and a life I designed — not inherited. I didn't have to compromise.
I'm an ICF-certified coach (ACC) with a Master's in Education and an MBA. I've been coaching for seven years. But more than any credential, I've lived the work. I know what it costs to choose yourself when the outcome is unknown. And I know what's possible on the other side.
I'm also still in it. Still transforming. That's not a disclaimer — it's the point.
If you're successful and quietly wondering whether you've actually chosen this life — I know that feeling. And I know the way through.
